OHP welcomes new faces, new roles

As our industry changes, so do we. In an attempt to better serve our grower and distributor customer base, we have beefed up our staff. We’ve promoted former Regional Sales Manager Andy Seckinger to Marketing Manager. We have added Dave Barcel, formerly with Chemtura, as Senior Technical Manager. Finally, we have added Jared Lee as Regional Sales Manager and Christina Lindstedt as Special Projects Manager.

ANDY SECKINGER
Andy joined OHP in 2004 as regional sales manager for the South Central region of the U.S. Andy has over 25 years experience in the horticulture and turf industries with companies such as Whitmire Micro-Gen and Rhone Poulenc. “Andy brings a wealth of knowledge to the newly-created position of marketing manager, ” notes Dan Stahl, OHP vice president of marketing and business development. “With the addition of the former Chemtura line of products to the OHP portfolio, we needed to fortify our marketing efforts and Andy is a great fit for that role.” Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Georgia Southern University and a master’s degree in plant protection and pest management from the University of Georgia.

DAVE BARCEL
Dave joins OHP after spending 12 years with Chemtura as Senior Product Development Manager focusing on plant growth regulator (PGR) research. In his new role, Dave is concentrating on the OHP line of PGRs including Cycocel®, BNine ®, and Paczol®, as well as integrating the Chemtura product line into the OHP portfolio. “We are thrilled to have Dave on board, ” says OHP VP/General Manager Terry Higgins. “He brings a broad range of PGR and Chemtura product knowledge and credibility to our team.” While at Chemtura, Dave coordinated extensive research efforts on paclobutrazol, the active ingredient in Paczol, and will continue that activity at OHP. Dave is a graduate of both the University of Minnesota and South Dakota State University and brings almost 30 years of experience to OHP. He and his family have recently relocated to SE Wisconsin after spending many years in Central California.

JARED LEE
To replace Andy, OHP has added Jared Lee as Regional Sales Manager covering Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Jared previously served as regional sales representative for Agro Dynamics Inc. CHRISTINA LINDSTEDT
OHP has added Christina Lindstedt as Special Projects Manager. A graduate of Furman University, Christina coordinates marketing and sales projects in concert with the OHP management team. Christina may be reached at clindstedt@ohp.com
