March 7th and 9th
The treated material received the medium rate of Suffusion in 2 quarts of water and the control received 2 quarts of straight water….
March 16th
Both Suffusion treated and the control received 2 quarts of water (as seen in the video). The results showed the run off was ZERO for Suffusion treated and 35 oz. Of run off – over half the water applied for the control.
March 23rd
Both Suffusion treated and the control received 2 quarts of water. The results showed the run off was 4.5 oz. For Suffusion treated and 37 oz. Of run off – again over half the water applied for the control.
Plants selected for the trail were selected from standard production and maintained in standard production between treatment and evaluation.
This test clearly demonstrates Suffusion treated soil media has superior wetting and rewetting capacity as compared to standard soil media. This will lead to improved water efficiency and possible overall water reduction. Improved effectiveness of soil drench pesticides being used. Reduction in water run off. Reduction of nutrient and pesticide run off. Overall plant health in production and also superior rewetting of soil once plants leave the production facility for the retailer. Repotting or transplanting in landscape. |
